April 30,2006, GEORGIA. Here we are in Senoia ( rhymes with annoy). G and Ali picked us up at the Atlanta airport, then on to their 100 yr old home in a beautiful little town south of Atlanta. Good food and drink: neighbors Dave and Rhonda showed up with pulled pork that he's been smoking for 11 hrs. G grilled camarones and sklrt steak, both served with complex sauce ( tomatilla, lime zest, chives) . Started eating at 9pm and finished with mousse cake at 3am.Thanks to DTG's input we had plenty of gin and tonic, and lemon infused vodka. Clearly we are now on argentine time without any lag.
Today we did a walking tour of Senoia, got the background info on how/where Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed.
Then back to the veranda, in rocking chairs, as the train rolls by. Already very on vacation.
